During the Christmas season, many employees living in Peru and their families plan to travel abroad. It is a situation that often comes with migration, employment and tax requirements that need to be taken into account in order to avoid any problems when leaving or coming back to their home countries.
Felipe Chirinos, Lawyer at ONTIER Peru, recommends making sure that their residence licence is in force by the time they leave and the time they come back. And Chirinos also highlights the importance of keeping the information of the (migration) register up to date, especially if the passport has been renewed.
Another recommendation is making sure that they're up to date with the payment of the annual immigrant fee.
