A few days ago Efraín Suárez, Partner at ONTIER Bolivia, taught a conference at the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Bolivia in which he talked about the new tax waiver act in Bolivia. The session, held in the city of La Paz, comprised a breakfast-conference attended by representatives coming from 42 different companies.
The conference addressed topics such as the scope, effects and benefits the waiver act; the concept of regularisation of tax debts; the way in which companies should get ready for the waiver, and the terms and conditions; the doubt whether the waiver comprises the exemption from paying fines and interest rates; the treatment for the regularisation of VAT; and whether taxpayers who are in the process of being audited can also take advantage of this benefit.
